I perform and produce shows in Los Angeles a lot, and there are also lots of livestreams as well! If this website isn’t up to date, check out the instagram (@lasertheboy).

Most musical improv shows at the Clubhouse/Lawless Brewing are free and you can just show up! Here are some fancier ones:

11/23 - Gentlemen’s Club Fancy Trans Comedy Show

Laser Webber

Laser is a trans musician, performer, professional nerd, and author. His music “challenges the patriarchy, champions marginalized voices, and finds emotional resonance in everything from robots to breakfast foods.” He has toured the US, Australia, and Europe as front person of the Doubleclicks, and has racked up over 4 million Youtube views amongst their large and beautiful grassroots audience. His solo albums “Overreacting” and “A Shark Ate My Penis” tell vulnerable stories of transitioning and heartbreak.

Laser co-wrote the musical "Teaching a Robot to Love," a sci-fi story about the trans experience, with E. Aaron Wilson. The musical’s concept album charted on Billboard and its sold-out, award-winning debut run took place at the 2022 Hollywood Fringe Festival! His 2023 solo show, “A Shark Ate My Penis,” won “Best World Premiere” at Hollywood Fringe and went on to a 5-star run at Edinburgh Fringe.

Laser is a game designer, having worked on the sequel to Betrayal At The House on the Hill, the Sentinels of the Multiverse RPG, and a surprise 100-person escape room at a wedding. He’s played games professionally for Geek & Sundry’s Tabletop, Good Time Society, and Starter Kit.

Laser created the actual-play and podcast “Gosh Darn Fiasco” and co-hosts film podcast “the Best Idea of All Time,” along with too many other podcasts. He hosts shows and performs musical improv in Los Angeles. He’s produced charity comedy events with stand-up, improv, music and sketch that raised over $25,000 for charity during the 2020-2022 lockdowns.

As a speaker and author, Laser helps independent artists (like Maria Bamford, Saladin Ahmed, Jonathan Coulton, and the Presidents of the United States of America) get money and attention for their creative projects. He has raised more than $2 million using Kickstarter and Patreon for comics, games, and music, and is the author of “Crowdfunding for Musicians,” a how-to book for indie artists who want to achieve their dreams without gatekeepers. He is currently working in development and fundraising for Complexly.
